today in class we took a test on the world leaders. the test was easier than I thought it was going to be. i thought I was going to have to know the type of government they have and i couldn't remember what those where. The part about the special facts about the leaders was the hardest part and i think i did good on that. but there was some i really didn't know and I'm pretty sure i got them wrong. but i think all together i did pretty good on the test. also i was very stressed because i had an F in the class and you still hadn't got my project so i thought i was going to fail. but i was just sending it to the wrong email. so i think i will be able to get my grade up to and A with those two assignments turned in. I liked this class a lot and I'm going to miss it next semester.
today class was pretty easy. we went  over the terms about the independent  states. we went over what each of the topics has to do with and how they can be different in different areas and what makes an area a State. they are important things for the State to be a good place to live and an easier way to live. it is also helpful because it can help you learn a lot about a State. also we learned and started a project about the type of government and there government leaders. tis can be helpful with understanding and knowing more about how countries are. this is because we can see how the government is run and it is helpful to know who run these countries.
today in class we started to talk about new things. we started to learn about political geography. in other words how the world is organized. the world is organized in countries which are an identifiable land area. they are also organized by nations which are a population with a common culture. the last way is by a state which means a population under a single government and can be synonymous with "country". a better definition of nation is, a group of people with a shared identity think of it as a culture group nations are groups of people, larger than a single tribe or community, which may share a common language, institutions, religion, and/or historical experience. and independent state might have characteristics such as has space of territory which has internationally recognized boundaries, has people w there on an on going basis, has economic activity and organized economy which regulates foreign and domestic trade and issues money, has the power of social engineering,
today in class you weren't here so we had a sub. in class I went to your blog and saw that we wont have a test before exams which is a relief because I wont have to study for the test and then study for everything else that is on the exam. in class I looked at my notes in my note book that I have taken this tear and made it into a quizlet. I feel pretty good about the human geo exam because I understand everything that we have gone over so far in this class. this class was pretty helpful because it helped me get organized and prepared to study for my mid term exam for this class.
today in class we went over the poop quiz and I got a 70 on it which is ok but I think I could have done better. then we talked about a test we will take next week and it sounds pretty easy because it only multiple choice and its about everything we have learned recently and I understand it all. also I am nervous for exams but I think that the human geo one will be ok because we are getting a review about everything and we are getting the exact essays that are on it so I think I will be good for that one.
today we walked in class and had a pop quiz. the quiz was pretty easy and I got to wrong because I mixed the x and y axis's up on what they are showing. the x axis is the wealth and y axis is the life expectancy and I wrote it backwards. I also learned about what the stages mean on the graph. in stage 1 the birth rate is high, the death rate is high, and the natural increase is stable. in stage 2 the birth rate is high, death rate is falling rapidly, and natural increase is very rapidly increasing. in stage 3 the birth rate is falling, death rate is falling slowly, and natural increase is stable or is increasing slowly. in stage 4 the birth rate is low, the death rate is low, and natural increase is stable or slowly increasing. in the last stage, stage 5 the birth rate is very low, death rate is low, and natural increase is stable or slowly decreasing. the countries go through these stages as their industrialization increases.
today in class we watched a video about global health. we learned that the world used to have a very low income and life expectancy. the life expectancy is the x-axis and it goes from 25-75 years. the y-axis is the income and it starts at 400-40,0000.400 means they at sick and poor. 40,000 means they are rich and healthy. the life expectancy in 1810 was under 40 yrs. in every country besides U.K. and Netherlands. when a countries industrialization increases so does the life expectancy and income.in 1948 the graph was as wide spread as it has ever been and there is countries that there life expectancy is over 75 and has an income average of 40,000 and there is some areas that have a life expectancy just over 25 and the only make 400 dollars of income. I liked watching the video because it helped me understand the graph a lot more and understand what we where talking about a lot more.
